Can you suggest any shrubs that will happily grow in very wet soil - the part of the garden that never sees the sun

I have a similar area, and I planted Astilbes. Google and you'll get masses of information.

My soil is clay, and astilbes prefer peaty soil, but I tried them anyway and they are doing very well. They look gorgeous when (if!) the sun catches them. They do however wilt rapidly if the soil dries out a bit.
