I don't know why it happens, but I occasionally find that I lose the sound from Youtube. (I suspect it has something to do with the Flash plug-in, which Youtube uses to display movies). Simply closing and re-opening my browser usually fixes it. (If that doesn't work, restarting your PC should probably bring everything back to normal).

If restarting doesn't fix the problem, post again and we'll all start scratching our heads for you ;-)

Hello , this happened to me when my comp performed some windows updates , I lost all sound and just could not get it back , it said no sound device found . I finally got it all back to normal by doing a system restore and dating it to go back to before the updates. :-)

Hmm the plot thickens. Tried all that, no joy and now I have no sound on anything else. Everything seems to be working ok apart from the sound.

All ok now. Just did a system restore. No idea why it happened though.
