I have recently taken a TEMPORARY job in a warehouse. We were told that we had to wear steel toe-cap boots, but we had to buy them ourselves, either from a supplier of our own choice or from them. I bought mine from the firm (they were 12.99) and the money was deducted from my first wage. I have since been told that this is not legal practice. Please advise.
