As i do computers at college i guess im good at them, though theres better. Could some1 help me with the wallpaper, Say i get a picture off google and set it as wallpaper the pixels are dodgy and blurred, i only have 3 different choices on properties on adjusting pixels, could some1 tell me how to adjust the pixels to that of the desired image without the properties not doing it, is there a shortcut. Thanks

If you want a higher quality picture on the background you need a higher resolution images, you can't just enhance the image with detail from nowhere (except on films).
Pompey, I would post this on internet and technology to get a good selection of answers. You are making us work very hard today.

Yes, images on the web are low-resolution so that they will load quickly. Try using an image from a digital camera, you'll have better success.
As Tomd says, most images on the internet are very small in size to allow them to be viewed quickly over a dial-up connection. Blowing these images up to desktop wallpaper size, cannot increase their quality and will only accentuate their compressed nature. An 'Advance Google Image Search' Allows you to search for large images. Which are more suitable for using as a desktop.
or you could do a search for "free desktop backgrounds/wallpapers" and loads of sites will pop up with huge galleries of images in categories.
