exactley no team work , but with foriegn workers taken over domestic duties dont seem to work ,do you think the british are looking down on them and saying ,you do the dirty work? just a thought
Not really, can't get a dentist for my pregnant Fiancee.

However, the midwife she is attached to is really very good.
Swings and roundabouts.

My mother in law went in to a hospital in Surrey (one the top places to live apparently!!) with a suspected heart attack. She was sent home 5 weeks later, having detiorated so much and sent back in again 24 hours later by her doctor which he diagnosed as C diff. The doctor told us she had it before she left hospital! Why didn't they detect it? I went to see her with 4 other members of the family soon after and not once were we asked to wash our hands or shown where to wash them. Her treatment was disgusting. She is now half the person she was, not as a result of the heart attack but she doesn't really know who my husband is which is very upsetting. I think her care there was apalling. To say nothing of the dirty bed linen everytime we visited!

Rubbish

Long waiting time for GP
Hospital filthy
Nurses more interested in eating pizza than looking after patients
I won't go on
Mind you, having said the above, we live in a small village and I only just have to ring in the morning and usually get an appointment that day, no probs, just up the road from home, toddle along, the pharmacy is built into surgery so I pop next door and get my prescription. It couldn't be better.
I don't think it will last though, its too much of a good thing and they will probably close it at some time in near future.
Yes and no, the no is because its going downhill rapidly!
6 years ago when I had my daughter, my docotors were great, the midwives were great, my experience in hospital during her birth was awful! It was the birth....it was the useless staff! (Hospital was spotless though!) This has put me off having another hospital birth, Im having this one at home!
6 years later, the doctors are uselss, the midwives are useless and I cant see the point of being given contact numbers at the start of my pregnancy when they just keep fobbing you off and tell you to phone whoever they arent!
On a contrasting note though. Last year, when my step mum had a stroke that we was told she would not recover from, the staff in the hospital couldnt do enough for us while we stayed with her for 5 days as she passed on. They kept her comfortable and always answered our questions. They looked after us, bringing us endless cups of tea and sandwiches and soup. They really couldnt have done more!
yes. I may have to wait a few days for GP appointments but I dont need to see them often at all anyway.

During my last pregnancy i had a great team of midwives, the 3 days before birth i was very relaxed and happy in hospital being induced, my labour was great and my experience could not have been better.

My son is being seen at hospital for 2 seperate things and hes always seen on time, treated very well at childrens outpatients, childrens ward and the main hospital.

Im changing areas soon and will have a choice of the main area hospital or a maternity hospital and Ive heard mixed views about both so Im a bit nervous.
On the whole yes - I can get a GP appointment if it's really necessary without having to wait a week.
I have had no problems with the hospitals locally but I have been lucky in that the last time I was an in-patient it was at the local non-emergency hospital.
However you won't get an nhs dentist in this area so I pay a monthly insurance fee. Unfortunately I have had to see the dentist as an emergency in the last few months and they were brilliant.
Primary care round here is good, but when it comes to secondary (hospitals) - forget it!! Especially oncology.
Rant over. K
