Ordering dollars online

Has anyone had any dealings with travel money services? They are offering a good rate of exchange for dollars with only a �10.68 charge for commission and because the rate is so high at the moment I want to buy them now incase it drops before we go on holiday in Feb next year. My only concern is I have to pay them the full amount upfront which is going to be �1000 and if they go bust I will lose my money (you can't pay by credit card) I was originally going to order them for Jan but don't want to take the risk. Alternatively I could order them from M&S which has no charge at all but this is for a rate of 196.6 instead of 2.03. Please could you help me decide which option would be best!

If they go bust you will lose your money.

You have to weigh up whether that risk is worth taking to save - what is it - about �20? It's your choice, not ours.

So you fancy yourself as a currency speculator...? What if the rate improves further by February? And also you tie up �1000 for about 4 months. Perhaps �15 of interest, depending how you finance it. And you will get a poorer exchange rate than you would get from an ATM in the US. And you run the risk of losing the lot if they go bust.
And are you really going to walk around with $2000 on you?

To BenDToy, no I don't see myself as a currency speculator at all I would hardly be asking on here if I was an expert in the matter I was just worried that the rate would drop before we go on holiday and because it is so good at the moment I can't imagine it getting better. Also, I do not intend to walk around with $2000 in cash I am not stupid I am getting travellers cheques. Just like to add that since my original post I have bought the currency from Saga that I had heard of at the rate of $1.98 and no other charge which I am very happy with.
