AGH! Ink cartridges!

We bought some new cartridges for our Canon MP500 from 'Think' because the official Canon ones are hideously expensive, and even though it says on the box the cartridges are compatible with our printer the machine won't have anything to do with them. It says the black isn't recognised and won't print anything unless it's fixed... what can I do?

Complain and get a refund. Goods not fit for the purpose they were sold for.

Quite surprised that they don't work, though. Although I've never used a Canon printer I've never had any major problems with compatibles.
you could try taking them out and then putting them back in again i sometimes have to do that with mine and that usually sorts it out tho i have had the odd dodgy cartridge too.
