I don't know what answers you came up with, but the clues do seem to be OK. The flower is a liquid one, and the other is the only one of that length that begins with one of the letters. The 'above' bit is Cockney.. Good luck.
Thanks Muffet, my answers seem to agree with yours. I am not questioning the answers (in that they DO match the clues) but the ORDER of the clues is significant and I think they are in the wrong order!
Well I have just finished this excellent quiz and have the required no of answers for each letter and in an order[ not the same for each letter] but I dont have those 2 beginning with the same letter so I'd perhaps better have a recount!!
Don't worrry about it jodder ~ they DO start with different letters but once you remove the first letter they are supposed to go in a special order and Clues #96 and #98 do not follow that special order.
Its probably me being dim but I worked out that j go a-z, o go z-a v go a-z and e go z-a. That does not fit in with your take off the first letter bit though.
I spotted that j & v (combined) go a-z (if you ignore the first letter) and o & e (combined) go z-a (ignoring first letter) EXCEPT for #96 and #98. That is what prompted my posting.
