It would be good to have a lyrics catogory.

I don't want the site to be cluttered up with extra categories - there are enough already.  Questions about lyrics to songs should go in Music or Arts & Literature.  Also, there are probably not enough questions about lyrics to justify a separate category.

Generally, there should be a rule of thumb that a new category should be created only if an existing category is killed to make way for it.  (I put in a return before "Generally" to see if it makes a new paragraph properly; if it works correctly then hooray!)

annette, I have to agree with bernardo. The Music category is sufficient for your suggestion.

 

Also, in case you didn't realise, Google have a great list of lyrics for free, which I use all the time!
