Radiators
3 Answers
If I turn the upstairs radiators and a couple downstairs off,the radiator that I want to heat up more downstairs gets hotter. How can I tell which one is taking the heat.
Also should the TVRs be on the hot or cold feed pipe.
I recently had a combi fitted upstairs and I think the water is flowing differently ,as previously the boiler was down.
Any clues please

You can tell which way the flow of the water is by feeling the pipes each end - which end is hotter? - then see whether this is contrary to any arrows on the TRVs themselves. They won't work if single direction and connected up the wrong way.
If you are saying that, with all TRVs open, one or two rads just don't get hot at all this suggests the system needs balancing (not bleeding). Explanation on how to do that is here.
