about a guy having an affair with a married woman.
they meet regularly
make plans
but never do anything about actually following them thru.
why is it that we love the song and dont really consider the consequences of such an assignation?

hi, sad old dj here. i do a regular gig at a local pub where the licencee's are "jones's. they always get up for that song and he sings it to her. very touching. so that makes a dodgy lyric lovely......or maybe i'm getting soft in my old age.

Well I loved it until recently when I saw Billy Paul (the original singer) and he looked like a little farm hand and not romantic at all - right put me off (just as well, as he's probably married he he)
