I believe that if a property is vacant, not mortgaged and that it has remained empty for many years, there is a law that allows a person to claim the property if they do so in a particular way. Does anyone else know of this law or know how to research it?

I hope not..
Just because I'm not using it doesn't mean you can have it.

Or does it?????
Unfortunately, yes. There is law that allows a person to claim property if they do so in a particular way.
And I have no intention of aiding anyone in that direction.

Another example where the law supports the lazy layabouts and punish the hard working people who save for their retirement.

if a property is void for over 10 years, and maybe there are no living relatives to recieve the property, then surely it would better for someone to claim the property rather than the government getting their hands on it????
