US green card lottery 2009
does anyone know as to why UK citizens except those in NI are unable to apply for the 2009 green card lottery??

...hate the British so much that the US Government grants greater than 50,000 permanent residence visas per year to Brits!
The Diversity Visa Lottery program is an annual lottery run by the U.S. Department of State. The DV Lottery offers up to 55,000 permanent resident visas each year to randomly selected applicants who meet strict eligibility requirements from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.
NI being treated as separate from the rest of the UK and its dependent territories seems somewhat anomalous to me.
