Amy Winehouse, stop glamorising her!!!
Ok, this is an oppinion question.
Ay winehouse was shown on footage of the MTV music awards in Munich last night.
she couldn't even sing properly and was given an award?!?!?!
What kind of role models for our children are being promoted by giving this boozed up cokehead an award?
Her music should be boycotted from the radio, if only as a message that the fans want her to sort herself out!

From my experience of the music indsutry, which is considerable, fans buy records because they like the soungs and the artist, they do not gravitate toward an artist because of a publicised habit.
The media always has got its knickers in a twist about musicians' bad habits, but frankly, it matters little to the artist, or the fans, who would certainly not boycotrt their favourite artist's work on the basis of their personal beliefs.
Look at Pete Docherty - never out of the tabloids, or the courts, but his records with Babyshambles sell abysmally. Why? because he is a seriously famous drug addict who makes lousy records - that illustrates my point. If record sales equated with press acreage, Doherty's album sales would dwarf Michael Jackson's stats several times over.
If an artist makes good music, they will be forgiven their personal choices - look at Wagner, an acknowledged fascist, it doesn;t stop his music being enjoyed worldwide - apart from Israel that is.
People do not make choices for their music based on addictions. As for 'awards' - do they really matter to anyone anyway?

I like Amy Winehouse, I didn't see the clip in question though. I enjoyed both of her albums, I like her voice and I think she has a punchy persnality and a sense of humour when I have seen her in interviews, I think she comes across as quite likeable. I don't understand why people take such an interest in her private life, I dont see how people can slate her for being abad role model when she has never set out to be a role model like perhaps Steps or S-Club 7 or the Spice Girls might have done.
I certainly won't be boycotting her records just because she allegedly abuses drugs and alcohol, many people in my dad to day life do this and I don't shunt them.
