Took my laptop computer back to factory settings, and now when I try to sign on to my ISP I get this message DNS server unreachable or unavailable (24-01-08-033)
This laptop is on WIFI,when I go on to my ISP with my ordainary comp I have no problems signing on.
Also when my Dell diagnostics come on to scan the laptop it tells me that it can't find my router?.
As pauln90 says, check that all your devices are working properly.
If you've reset your laptop you then have to reinstall your ISP software. That'll tell the laptop how to connect to your wireless router and shoul resolve your problem.
Thankyou pauln90 & plowter,I have put my Dell disk in for reinstalling Device drivers & Diagnostics & utilities and everything is fine there, but the laptop still can't find my router ???.
You DELL diagnostics disc will only tell you whether the laptop is working. Your laptop doesn't know whether your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is BT, Virgin or whatever. You have to provide the details that allow your laptop to recognise and connect to your router.
The easiest thing to do is to find your ISP Installation CD. Load the software and provide the details - username, password, etc).
