Britz - nothing more than justification for suicide bombers
I think this programme from Ch. 4 last night will do serious damage here as the final scene was a message of justification for would be suicide bombers in this country.
It was stated that "we" are all guilty for voting in the government that went to war in Iraq.
What percentage of the population voted Labour, about 20% was it? How many children voted Labour?
These morons will attempt to kill 100 people, 80 of which will have had nothing to do with voting in the government.

i really got a lot of mixed messages from it

How could they accurately portray a suicide bombers opinion without showing that video of her. All it said after was how young muslims feel. Nothing you say can alter that, because they feel that way doesnt mean they all want to blow everyone up. I thought it was brilliant viewing, possibly the best thing I have seen all year (apart from anything with Richard Ayoade in it).
Radicalists are radicalists anyway, they dont get influenced through watching one tv program. I wholeheartedly believe that o the whole the nonmuslim population should change their attitude towards muslim people. I have a handful of muslim friends in various paarts of the country and they all encounter some form of racism on an almost daily basis.

Good point, but I just feel that they could have got those valid issues over but stopped short of effectively saying "this is wrong, and because of this it is OK to be a suicide bomber, and by the way you'll be a martyr and sit at god's right hand"
That leads me to another point, after she was told about "sitting at god's right hand" she said "that's not why I'm doing it" I think that's exactly one of the main reasons why these people do things like this and they certainly wouldn't do it without some twisted idiotic belief like this.
