Role models doesn't have to be about weight Rev. There is too much emphasis on weight nowadays. I appreciate that there are health issues and that we are becoming a nation of 'fatties' but there is so much more to life. I despair that people should aspire to be a certain shape or size and I don't think that's what role models should be about - all part of the celebrity culture. Fern has proved that you can be a popular celebrity because of personality and likeability. It is good for her that she is losing weight, but weight has nothing to do with her popularity.
Fact is when she was first on the telly probably 20 plus years ago she was not a bloater she was slim, if she went for the interview now she wouldn't get the job.
She will be popular with other obese people purely because they see someone as fat as they are doing well.
Fact is she is overweight, is putting her body under unnecessary strain and eats lard with a ladle.
No she's a born fatty, destined to be one of the chosen fatso's to inhabit planet earth. Bt if she inspires you lose a bit of weight then good on you .... and her!
