I'm trying to find some new music and I honestly don't know what's good. Things I have liked in the past are Nick Cave, Mazzy Star, Coldplay, Pulp, the Cure, Massive Attack, Radiohead, among many others. What do you folks love? I'm about due for a trip to the record store.

Ed Harcourt Anything to do with Luke Haines (The Auteurs, Black Box Recorder or solo stuff) The Bees Bell X1 (used to be 80% of a band called Juniper, the other 20% being Damien Rice, but don't let that put you off) The Thrills Shivaree Rufus Wainwright Eileen Rose Thea Gilmore Beulah The Sleepy Jackson The Fiery Furnaces British Sea Power Matthew Jay (sadly now deceased following a tragic accident last year, but his only official album, 2001's Draw, is well worth checking out) ...and, when their debut album proper <i>finally</i> gets released in the New Year, watch out for Amsterdam. Right. That should be enough to be getting on with :O)

Sigur Ros, an Icelandic band are great. They are popular with Radiohead fans. I recommend Aegitis Byrjun (that's not how it's spelled, I'm sure), there's a picture of an angel fetus on the cover.

I reccomend jeff buckley, damien rice, sigur ros, and a guy called martin grech. He is relatively unknown but u can get his album from hmv and online shops like w ww.101cd.com. Jeff buckley is amazing.
