Wow, lucky you! Of course you can, what sort of age difference in that? Now for the boring grown-up legal part. I will have to say this before some other do-gooder does. It all depends on what you mean by dating; if it is just seeing someone then all well and good, but if you mean much more than that there could be problems. Without the saying the big S-word (can I say that, it is a family website) you will get lots of people telling you that the age of consent is 16, for both sexes. Well, this is perfectly true, but I am not going to be a prude and say that as it is your own life, but I have to warn you that at this age you are both at your most fertile, and just one single accident can lead to pregnancy. Apart from this word of warning I think it is up to you two what you do with your life, and enjoy your relationship. I am 35 and still single, so hold on to her while you can. Anyway, in answer to your question it doesn't matter what age you are. I dated a guy who was 11 years younger than me last year. There is only a years difference between you. And as Jonny says, as long as it is just dating and nothing else. At 13 and 14 you are both not emotionally ready for a physical relationship and it is of course illegal.
