I WOULD LIKE TO MATE MY GERMAN SHEPHERDS. THE MALE IS FULLY COOPERATIVE, BUT THE FEMALE DOES NOT APPEAR INTERESTED. MALE IS ONE YEAR AND FEMALE 3 YEARS. ARE THERE ANY HINTS TO MAKING THIS MATING A SUCESS. BOTH DOGS HAVE LIVED TOGETHER FOR ONE YEAR.

Females can  be very picky! 

She won't accept him until she is completely ready - somewhere in the second week of being on heat.  You'll know when because she will present her rump and turn her tail to one side.  But she may also decide that he is not for her.  It does happen sometimes.

She wont accept the male until she wants to! 1year old is too young,he needs to be at least 2 years. You need to bring the female to the male or she might attack him.
