In case this is a real question deserving an answer...
Most scientists believe that birds developed from reptiles. Since most reptiles to this day reproduce by laying eggs, it's rational to assume that the first bird-like creature came from an egg, too. (Genetic material remains constant throughout life, so the first creature that evolved into what we would consider to be a bird must have originally existed as an embryo inside an egg.) It would then have laid eggs and - over millions of years, perhaps - birds as we know them slowly developed and produced different species. The present-day chicken is one of these, but - 'way back when - its great-great-grand-daddy almost certainly came from an egg.
The egg pre-dated the bird, if you believe in evolution. Of course, fundamentalist believers in the Bible will say that God created all the creatures as creatures. In that case, the bird pre-dated the egg. Take your pick!

Considering this question from a logical perspective:
All chickens come from eggs while all eggs do not necessarily come from chickens. Assuming that the chicken came first implies that all creatures that begin as eggs evolved from the humble chicken. At this point it might be of interest to note that humans also begin their development as a fertilized egg. Did we (the human species) also evolve from the chicken?
Interestingly you chose religion as the subject heading for this question. The religious viewpoint is largely one of the chicken being created complete, along with its reproductive capacity, as a chicken. The legitimacy of this claim falls flat once we answer another philosophical question:
Which came first, God as the creator of humanity or humanity who created God in an attempt to explain their own existence? The answer to this question is revealed through examining the premise from which the existence of God, the creator, must follow.

The belief that, God the creator of all exists implies that God possesses consciousness along with an ability to act purposefully. Without such attributes the logical conclusion is that consciousness and purposeful action arose as a consequence of natural laws, such as the law of cause and effect, that determine the way that the universe came to be and the way it operates. It is through observing and understanding the natural laws governing the universe we discover that they are responsible for its existence, as well as the existence of chickens, eggs, and ourselves and that the existence of God is not rationally justifiable.
Consciousness, the faculty of awareness, presupposes something to be conscious of and something to be conscious with. Because of this inescapable prior requirement the only reasonable assertion is that existence (not consciousness) is the primary that allows for the possibility of the existence of consciousness. Consciousness arose as a product of existence. God is a creation of the imagination of a conscious mind, (our own) and not the creator of existence, consciousness, nor the ability to reason which disproves his existence.
The chicken and the egg are off the hook. Humanity alone is the instigator of religion and the creator of the belief in the existence of God.
