Six people are on trial at London's Southwark Crown Court, for passing counterfeit notes. Prosecutors said the plan was flawed because they tried to cash 500,000 at the Bank of England. 500,000 notes have never existed.

The trial, expected to last six weeks, continues.

Wonder why this is taking 6 weeks to arrive at a judgement?

Ah well the BoE will exchange any notes that ever existed for face value.

I'd guess that was the basis of the scam - detecting a counterfit note from 100 years ago might be difficult.

If the defence is that the notes are genuine and/or held in good faith the trial could easily be complicated don't you think?
perhaps because they are not counterfeiters? A counterfeit is a copy; you cant copy something that doesn't exist. I wonder if the prosecutors have spotted this small flaw in their case.

I have not had a venue or date or even proper confirmation. The message I had said it is a Sound System gig and not the full live band. I am expected the next lot of dates soon, so I will let you know as soon as I know.
