One of the ladys from work today found a robin it was very friendly but very puffed out and she got a bit worried for the bird because of the cats and seaguls about the place so she put it in a box with alot of tissue to keep it warm coz she was going to take it to the sanctuary after work, when we went to check on it. it had died she picked the bird up and found blood on the tissue so it had obviously been hurt, it was real sad to see, i thought at least the robin was able to die in comfort

I must admit I would have probably done the same. The blood suggests that it was injured already and it would probably have been picked off by a predator.

Poor little thing, but at least, like you say, it died in peace.

it tickled me anyhow, as my cats do it all the time, someone should have ended his life in the first place isntead of letting him die slowly.

Sad to say that your Robin was probably done-in by another Robin.
They may be small and cute, but they are fiercely territorial.
