Thanks a lot. Not the most obvious clue!

17d Arty worker, unionist traitor with nothing, is in credit (7)

I've got "curator" but could it be "creator"
How about this.........c-----r is the in credit bit.........u is the unionist...........and rat is the traitor.......O is the nothing........ bit strained isn't it????
16a E p som
Question Author
Totally agree! So it is curator.

I've finished, except for 22d

Can you help? I obviously don't know enough Portuguese towns - or maybe it's another spurious clue!

Hi Slaney! Don't understand your 16a Epsom. I didn't ask for help with 16a, which is "ducklings" the clue being
avoids eating fish and small fowl (9)

Are you doing a different crossword?

Meanwhile, still can't get 22d!
Sorry I meant 22d ..E p som..an anagram of some around "P" for portugal
Question Author
Thanks Slaney - just woke up, having dozed off in the chair! I realised you meant 22d after I'd sent the message and then completed the crossword with "epsom".

Looking forward to tomorrow's cryptic - Friday is usually harder!
