reading this morning about the gay joke in a thread and changing attitudes .
now i know folk get quite worked up about the idea that homosexuals may be getting too much exposure .
and that they are seen as promoting homosexuality by some folk.
these books in schools we hear about such as my 2 mums .
i dunno if thats the correct name .
but anyway you get my drift?
so theres a bit of uproar from the public about it .
then i just heard the police and dont stand so close to me.
now thats a song about a schoolteacher and a young girl student .
it also mentions the book by nabokov.
referring to the book lolita.
a quite disturbing tale of a middle aged mans obsession with his 12 year old step daughter.
now we all sing along and it doesnt offend anyone.
is that because its about a heetrosexual relationship between a man and a schoolgirl?
referring to a hetrosexual relationship between a man and his stepdaughter ?
as oppossed to a conceived idea that mentioning homosexuals is encouraging homosexuality ?

Hey Leggy,

Most sing along coz they don't know what the song is about. I think it is a load of rubbish that to discuss something is to discourage it. You are either homosexual or not, I don't believe that it is a choice. Some people like a bit of both but mostly homosexuals are born that way imho.

At what age are they teaching kids about homosexuality ?
I'm a srong believer in letting kids be kids, let them keep that bit of innocense, there's plenty time when they grow up to learn of these facts. I was never taught about anything like that at school, heck i didn't even know what a virgin was when i was asked in first year at high school, i thought it was some kind of religion :))

Homosexuality should do what it says on the tin and keep it in the bedroom where it won't disturb the vast majority of the public. all sexual activity should be private so lets all get back to the idea that sexual activity is not a public spectacle.
