6 month old cats not eating teething?
2 Answers
Hey I wonder if you could help me, we have two 6 month old cats 1 male = Pongo, 1 female = jezebel. (Ive just used names to make it easier lol)
They have suddenly stopped eating properly since about monday. We moved house last thursday and they were all completely fine, happy excited eating fine until tuesday. Last friday Pongo was neutered and again was eating fine after that. They have both been vacinated, Jezebel was vaccinated last friday and was fine after that also. Though one thing the vet did say is that her gums looked very tender because of her adult teeth coming through and that that is why we will notice her breathe not being too fresh. And thinking about it lately all she would eat was dry food maybe because of teething i thought? And now they are funny with their food I have done everything, changed foods as i know they get bored easily, gave them tuna which they have small amounts but seem to drop whatever they are eating and make a loud crunchy sound when eating even wet food. Does this sound to you like their teeth?HAs anyone had anything similar happen? If so please explain as im so worried! They are booked into the vets but id just like maybe someone else to know what it is!
Thanks in advance :)

If so it could be that the noises you hear are because the teeth are loosening. My elderly cat used to make crunching noises when her teeth were loose - poor old soul has only 1 tooth left now but that doesn't stop her eating. If they seem healthy in other ways I shouldn't worry
