I have a sky Grundig digibox which haas corrosion on the telephone inlet. If I buy a new digibox can I use my existing card in it or has the Sky card to be aligned to the digibox?
I note there are quite a lot of digiboxes on E-bay due to people changing over to Sky+.

Well we acquired a sky box from my Dad last week which we were hoping to put in the attic room instead of the freeview box. We tried our own current cards in it and it comes up with a message saying this isnt the right card. We were going to order one from sky but didn't know whether because we have multiroom already, they would charge us another 10 subscription for double multiroom! We arn't that bothered about the attic getting the full subscribed channels, just a better reception than the freeview box (which by the way has an aerial in place where you can actually see the transmitter, and still not full signal) But if there was a way to get the channels we already pay for, up there free we would. Haven't found a solution yet
I bought a digibox on line years ago, and seem to remember I had to ring Sky to give them the details.

They happily took the details, updated their system and bingo, it worked.
