My grandad, is still alive and kicking at the age of 84. He fought in WW2, in particular he was at Anzio and then in Palestine as part of the Forgotten Army. Despite the fact he is arguably one of the toughest men I know (and trust me, in my line of work, I see some toughies) - he cannot speak of the horrors which he saw in the few bleak years in which he served. Over 60 years later, what he lived through haunts him. And such conflict still goes on today. I am lucky, my grandad lived. So many others didnt though.
In rememberance
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old,
Age shall not wither them nor the years condemn;
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We shall remember them
Rest In Peace

For those of you who pray - please pray for KNOBBYNONUT - only that can change someone like him I think and it is obvious he needs the prayers.
My Dad was a Medic and my Uncle fought in WW2 - they were changed forever but were some of those lucky enough to survive.
