Hope that is of some help, although it depends on the severity of your grandsons CP

Hey Matamata! Is your son using a wheelchair? I ask this as for my friend with MS, when I took her to New York, I bought a series of lights to adorn her wheelchair. I bought fairy lights to adorn the back of her chair at night, but I also bought some strip lighting that fit to her chair. Those I got in the states. I had never seen them here.
For our child in Moldova with CP, I've recently bought him some spelling aids. It's a large board, with spinning blocks that he can easily touch (or hit) and make the words spin around. It was designed to meet needs for children who have motor-reflex challenges.
By far, the lights were a blazing success!
