Is there a way in which an employer can monitor keystrokes on a networked laptop?

I know keystrokes can be monitored when someone is online, for example, typing a blog (or a message on AB!), but is there any way the keys can be monitored if someone is using MS Word and saving to a memory stick?

Thanks

Yes there is and it is very simple for anybody to do.

Every keystroke you make on your employer's pc can be monitored and recorded.

It was demonstrated very well on the Gadget Show last year and was quite frankly worrying. They used several different things - a device that plugs in to the back on the computer, a keyboard with a logger inside and software.

All three worked - whether online or not.
