Have you got a decent Osteopath (sp?) near you?

They're fantastic for trapped nerves. I trapped my sciatic nerve a while ago and he sorted it right out.
I had something similar a couple of years ago which got worse and worse until I couldn't lie down. It turned out to be a slipped disc in my neck.

Family GP was worse than useless but an osteopath sorted it out in about 4 - 6 weeks although I've still got nerve damage in my arm and two fingers on my right hand.

Its still probably best seeing your GP first though..............
I had the same problem some months ago. I thought I had RSI as the pain was so bad. I went to my GP who told me it was a trapped nerve. He carried out a very simple procedure and gave my neck and shoulder a quick crunch, it was completely painless and within a couple of days I was pain free. GP did say if his treatment did not work I may need a chiropractor's help but that was not the case. I have had no problems since. I would recommend talking to your GP first, it could be that easy to put things right.
