hi, i brought a gti 2.0 v reg golf in black 3-4 months ago for �3,700.

im 19 and my insurance is �2000 third party fire and theft.

im trying to sell the car but i think that the timeing belt needs to be changed, other than that it drives wicked.

it has done 79,000 miles.

im trying to sell it cos i cant afford the insurance payments, i think im goin ta get a smaller engine car for the time being.

wher can i sell it? who to? as it is, i dont really want ta get a timing belt then sell it cos it will be wastein money that i aint got. i got a quote for the belt, bout �150.

try asking in motoring if you haven't already done so....
You can sell it on Ebay, in the local paper, by putting an ad in a newsagents window, in Autotrader.....the options are endless.

Just make it clear to prospective buyers that the timing belt needs replacing and knock the price down to reflect this.
I don't think you'll get back what you paid for it either, according to Parkers it is worth:
