My optician advises yearly eye tests for children but every two years for adults.I don't know if there is an actual limit though.
my friend went for her eye test and was told she needed glasses. It was a place where she felt all the glasses available were really quite expensive and she could not afford them at that time. she hung off for a few months and then decided to go to a cheaper optitions and they told her she did not qualify for a free eye test as already had one this year and to wait until next. they did say she could approach the shop she had originally been to for them to give her notification of her prescription which I am sure they would have to honour her request.
