I make greeting cards and I have been commissioned to make a christmas card with a specific theme (including christmas) I have two seperate images which I somehow need to merge together to look like this person is holding this object. I have PSP8 on my pc, but hardly ever use it as I don't know how. Could someone either give me a link to a site which would show me how to do what I need to or talk me through it in easy stages :)

many thanks

Not the easiest thing for a novice to do.Make copies and save the originals. Only work with the copies, so if things go wrong you still have them to copy again for another attempt. With both images open, you need to select the object to be held using one of the selection tool, then cut and paste the selection onto the main image as a floating layer. It will be easier to do if you resize the bit you are adding to the dimensions you need, before you do this.Once you have it in the correct place you can merge the image. You may have to do a bit of touching up with the clone tool to improve the appearance.
Read the programme help file to become more familiar with the selection and other tools.

thank you both, I, well technically, Mr Jules with a little input from me managed to do this and it looks pretty good. I think in the process I have learnt a little more about what PSP can do.
