Can anyone please tell me what salsa is? (no not the dance)
I have recipes that use it but when I look to see what it is it looks very confusing!
Help please!

I had skate wings with salsa in Portugal, no problem with the skate, but the ' salsa ' was just some sort of oily dressing with copious amounts of coriander chopped finely in it.
Not many foody things I can't bear, but corianders one of them !!!
