My brother has a fox family living over the fence from his garden, one of the foxes has been sunbathing in the garden during the summer...this was fine as the fox ran like h*ll when the kids were in the garden.

However foxy and family have started doing the toilet in the garden and with a very young children my brother has decided that "this means war".

He has purchased a sonic deterrant and this has, so far, not worked. His 3 year old daughter asked why they couldn't just shoot them - I think that he was tempted for a minute or two.

What other ways can anybody think of to keep the foxes from using his garden as a latrine? He really has no problem with the animals themselves.

Lion or tiger dung works as a repellant, believe it or not.

Even more amazing is you can buy it in pellet form over the internet. The bad news, or in some cases good news, is that it also keeps cats away. You can google it for stockists or try:

put some kitty litter (and other homely goods) over the fence so the foxes will feel no need to leave home?

:)
Renardine. It stinks like an old ashtray, but keeps foxes (and most other animals) away.
