To visit this site one must of course have access to an online computer, so why do so few folk not google more thoroughly. So many of the answers given here are very easily googled, but perhaps this is the first call before even trying to answer the question ones self ? It is a useful last resort, but what satisfaction is there in simply using other folks brains before ones own?
I do google for answers but I like to use this site because it is as if you have some body to share your thoughts about the question when you get interaction instead of sitting doing it by yourself . I look on people on this site as my friends my sound sad but that is how i feel cheers T
It is annoying to see folk already asking for other people's answers so early in the morning. We haven't even bought the papers yet. I must have already seen a lot of the answers. We usually know most of the answers cos we're clever clogs but our books provide the rest and the odd one gets googled only to find answerbank popping up!
Still it's great to help out and feel superior!

I come to answerbank when I have exhausted all avenues (to my mind) and am looking for a break - through, to the impasse I have reached. I enjoy the tussles with the further clues offered, and prefer this rather than being given the answer - although I'm not too proud to take them if offered !! Remember, some of us are not too nifty with this medium - I often get "lost " - and am grateful to our FELLOW AB-ers for the assistance proffered .
In fact why even bother having answerbank....then people can't be lazy and ask for the answers, they'll have to google, search or not finish their crosswords and we'll all be happy....not!
I agree with the sentiments of 'meeting' other folk and the interaction, it is just that a straight give away of the answer seems to be making it too easy. There is a yahoo group where like minded Quizmail folk chat, but no one there actually gives the answers, merely adds a bit more of a clue (quite often still too cryptic for me).
