Have you seen the latest M&S Christmas food advert?

I am not usually one to moan but have you noticed towards the end when they are showing the bitesize chocolate puddings with the melted Belgian chocolate in the middle.

The dappy woman (you only see hers hands) who picks it up with her fingers!!!! Myt good God.

Now, I have had said puddings and can confirm the melted chocolate is absolutely piping hot, well it would have to be I suppose, if melted. Also they are incredibly messy articles.

M&S, call me a snob, is probably aimed at the slightly more affluent and professional class of food shopper, but I am appalled at this laissez faire attitude, not only to manners, but to health and safety as well.

Has anybody else observed this blatent glitch of etiquette? Or do I need to get out more?

but in the comfort of your own home surely its more of a pleasure to suck the chocolate of your fingers afterwards.;�)

I think you have missed my point.

If you want to pick up melted chocolate with your fingers, then myself nor a nanny state should dictate to you. But I nonetheless warn you against such painful actions.

I have never watched an M&S food advert all the way through because that woman's voice grates on me dreadfully. I wish she'd learn to pronounce her Ts and Ds correctly!x

It's not just Christmas food...It's bleedin' expensive Christmas food !

You're not alone - me and the hubby commented on it too. Maybe we need to get out more. Lovely as those puddings are I don't think they are practical for finger food.
