Advice on this laptop

Ok...have three laptops to buy...grandkids and not a load of cash left to be very selective

Is this a good buy...the one with the upgrade to 1GB is �20 extra so it would be that one.

looks Ok .... as usual you'll get a thousand alternatives ... and on past performance they'll be OK too ;-)

but while it's not the biggest bestist
(you know that already)
... it's one of the best deals (I guess you know that too)
.... for the price - you could do much worse.

You might even get something off for buying in bulk!

Thanks AC...yeh it's a good deal...just wanted confirmation i wasn't buying an elephant...never had to repair a HP lappie...no dealings with them at all...though i expect i'll be learning quickly enough after the Xmas.

I personally think that's a better offer. My only trouble with it is that it comes with vista as opposed to xp.

Hey fo...was looking for XP OS but the deals are not so good...there were ones where you could downgrade to XP but they were higher spec and buying three of those machines was way beyond my pockets.

1.73 instead of 1.6 wont make a lot of difference to them...

Already ordered now so delivery within 3 days...will be setting up and testing out then so i'll update on quality and performance...Nothing beats the IBMs for that so we'll see how good/bad these machines are.

Oh booger...nearly forgot the Router :( more expense...ebay here i come!
