we stuck a line of leylandii trees in our garden for privacy, then a law came in restricting their height and we had to reduce their size. If we stick one big tree in our garden, which is not leylandii, can this be legislated against? And where we have trellising along our back wall, can we cover that in green netting/mesh (you know the type you often see in gardens) all the way along without being told to remove it?
The new law relates to evergreen hedges. So one tree is fine, two or more overlapping evergreen trees makes an evergreen hedge which may be affected by that law.
