Greetings.Changed the clutch assembly on the weekend, and guess what,it's still slipping. No problem getting it in gear,no grinding jumping forward etc. When you pull off in 1st seems to be fine then slips in second.Did exactly as the manual said, even measuring the pedal for free play etc.Just don't believe this, could the release bearing be sticking on the shaft?.It is a new one.Pretty nasty job on your own in the back garden.Everything seemed fine no damage on the fly wheel blue marks or anything??
Did the clutch change involve a new pressure plate? Weak pressure plate springs will allow a clutch to slip even after a new centre plate has been fitted.
If the clutch is cable operated, is the inner cable fouling on the outer sleeve?
Hi yes i did replace the whole lot, clutch pressure plate release bearing.Cable looks great.First time this has ever happened to me,cleaned the whole lot for hours before assembly thxs for the reply
