Don't get me wrong, I am not condemming piercings or those who have them, but when I really think about them I actually feel sick and slightly faint and my knees buckle at the thought of punching holes through the skin. Am I alone?

Anyway, about the peircings, apart from my ears I don't have any anymore but as a teenager I had quite a few. I don't ever regret getting them done, but I do feel it has a lot to do with teenage rebellion and peer pressue - having to be the first to have something. It would start with a few extra holes in the ear and then someone would have their nose done, then euebrow, tongue, etc etc. Kind of rambling now but I'm bored.
I am 39and pierced my nose and ear in school assembly at 12 years old 1977. I still have them pierced and have added 9 other ear placements incl tragus, rook, diath, lobes, top and only had conch pierced last month, 2 extra nosrtil piercings, lip, tongue, nipple, and 3 genital piercings: prince albert, ampallang and frenum
Each to their own, but personally I don't like piercings. The only piercings I have are on my earlobes and I had no choice in the matter. My mum took me and got it done when I was a newborn. I think for a girl its important to have earrings, other than that I shudder at piercings, especially the ones on the nose and the cartilage part of the ear - that must really hurt piercing through bone.
