i was beaten up on the way home from the pub one night by 4 blokes. the next day i went to a&e because my eye lid cut bad, after that went to make a statement at police station, didnt hear anything for 2 months till a police officer phoned me and asked me to come to the station where i was charged with gbh. my ex-girlfreind and her 2 sisters got the 4 blokes to beat me up then she went to police station and told the police i punched her and crack two of here ribs, it has gone to the cps and they say theres a case because 7 statement (my ex her 2 sisters and the 4 blokes all said the see me do it )is enough to convict me because i was in the same pub at the time this suppose to have happened. this is the 1st time ive been involed with the police and i worried cos i dont no what will happen to me i have got a solicitor but hes not saying much . can someone please shed some light on it 4 me thank you

at A & E they will have made notes of your injury, if you are supposed to have hit her, who gave you the split eyelid? bet the CPS don;t persue it

thanks for the reply the police arent taking my beatin any futher because the four bloke say they didnt do it, it looks to me that the police dont care about me there more intrested in this charge

so 4 guys beat you up - what injuries did you have exactly? Why didnt you report it to the police straight away? Do you have any witnesses to this assault?
Why did your ex get these men to assault you was lt because you had assaulted her?

no i have never hit a women and never will. my ex girlfriend is jelous me and my wife have put up with the abuse from her and her family for 8 years and just ignored it,because i ignored her again she thought i would be funny to cry in the pub that i hit her but i didnt,i was then kicked out of the pub. my ex and her sisters then showed the for blokes where my mate lived and they waited for me their and then assalted me,now these blokes are from out of town so they would never have known where to go. then i get the phone call to say that ive got to go to police station because my ex's sister had said that i hit her and crack her ribs but i never did so im getting stiched up.the police say their isnt enought evidence for me to get the blokes done it wouldnt stand it court. what am i supposed todo apart from hope they can see in court i didnt do it, plus the girl in question has gone in hiding because the policeman has been trying to contact her for the past two weeks and she hasnt returned his calls,and she has admitted to a third party that she doesnt want it to go ahead anymore its all lies and her sisters pressured her in to lieing about it,but she wont go to police because shes scared because two years ago she lied and accussed a man of rape but ended up admitting it was lies because she didnt want her mum to know she had sex for the first time.her sisters have cried wolf too. so i think shes scared shes gona get into trouble for the lies.

I think all you can do is to go court and hope these witnesses dont turn up and you will acquitted

i donot mean to put a downer on this - but what are you being charged with. If its gbh - section 18 you could serve a custodial sentence, but as your charge been reduced. You need to speak to your solicitor - if he doesn't want to say anything then he is crap, so go and get a new one. Believe me, your solicitor is the one that gets you out of this. The difference between sentences is how your solicitor deals with it. Mither him to death and push him if you have to - for gods sake he is being paid.
They won't pursue your claim that you were jumped because there were no so called witnesses. Did you tell them at the hospital that you were jumped.
