Although they say that it hasn't fallen into criminal hands, if they don't know where it is, how can they say that. The other thing is that those disks are now worth millions to the criminal element, so i would imagine that they are looking very hard for them and would be willing to pay hansomely to whoever has got them, thus increasing the risk. However, there is a danger that everyone rushing to change their accounts will bring the banking system to a halt benefitting no-body. I would change you passwords for any key accounts that you have and be very vigilant. I might be tempted to close any accounts that your children have if they are with the same bank as yours as they will now have your childs date of birth and will find it easier to locate those accounts. Or at the very least, remember to keep an eye on their finances as well.
