recycling phone books

how do you recycle phone boks.My daughters school has collected the yellow pages but not the white pages.

Our local recycle center has a bin for yellow pages ,they recycle it and sell it for animal bedding , so ring you local council and find out if they do it .

Sorry mis read your post , we just put the white pages in to the paper recycling box which is collected from the house , or take it to the recycle center .Where I live we have been recycling for 15+ years so it is now second nature .

You can buy Mr fothergills Yorkshire Oyster mushrooms and grow them on them, these would be an excellent example of recycling.

The problem is the glue down the spine that the recycling machines can't cope with. Tear out the pages and then you can put them in with the newspapers.
The gluey spine is great for starting a bonfire!
