sorry ..............46A ............it was the soft bookbinding leather, used as a substitute for morocco..................but i think i have the answer already..................roan............i only ever connected that with the horses.............as a colour.............thanks to you all...................now me puzzle will complete before i get the paper in the morn............i hate when it beats me:-)
