HELP!!!!!! My battery went dead earlier while I was working on the car. I was trying to fix the electric window. I put it all back together and now the car won't start.(dosen't even turn over) the central locking won't work with the button but works using the key in the lock. Have I disturbed something or is there something I need to do with the key to reset the immobiliser after the battery has gone dead.
Ps I have recharged the battery. TIA

sounds like you will need to have key fobre- programmed to get you back to normal - BUT you should have a 'door lock code' which will bypass the immobiliser - depending on your individual code it will go something like - say your code is 2-4-6-8 - NOW with car locked put key in driver's door lock - turn twice to left (returning each time to central position) then four times to right - six time to left - eight times to right. if you haven't got the code most garages have a gadget to find it - i think simply by giving them te reg' number - (phew) good luck !

Thanks phizzy. I got in touch with a local auto electrics place and they where great. He told me to unlock the door with the key and then quickly press the unlock button on the fob 4 times. It worked Yippee. Funnily enough though I did find a code similar to the one you describe inside the car ( I've only just bought the car) but wasn't sure what to do with it. So what you say makes it a bit clearer. All sorted now. Thanks for your help anyway.
