Recording VHS images onto CD!!
4 Answers
I have some really old documentaries that I recorded onto VHS years ago and I still watch them. The thing is these videos are not going to last forever and the tape is already starting to go bad. Is there anyway I can record what is on the tape, onto CD?? Where can I go to do this??

If you buy a standard cheap recorder,it won't be digital, but could still record digital tv (as long as you have means of receiving it of course) - but it will be a faff. However, it will play all dvds as well, so will replace your current dvd player.
If you have more money to invest you could buy a bells and whistles digital hard drive recorder with the facility to burn to removable dvd disk (archiving).
You can buy a decent standard dvd recorder for around 60 that is capable of doing exactly what you want.
