I am 70 next month and my eyesight is not so good. I increased my font size to LARGER to help me see the screen better. Although a few sites I use. did give the increased font size the majority such as this site do not. Is there some thing I can do so as all sites show the larger font. Any help would be greatly appreciated
And finally the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) says that all UK web sites should be easy to use for people with special needs (such as the ability to enlarge the text).
And in case you are not aware of it, you can quickly and easily increase the text size on any web page by either holding CTRL and wiggling the mouse wheel;
Thank you all for your replies. I have tried the magnifier ,got completely messed up just couldn't seem to sort it out.
The CTRL and scroll button worked but very iffy, not sure if it is a dodgy mouse. The CTRL and + or - worked well so hope I can manage with that.
Yep, I support the Firefox suggestion. I just tried and the normal text increase under the view tab works here too.
It is great to see more and more 'mature' folks becoming proficient at using the computer. I did a short stint helping at a senior's comp course earlier this year and am ashamed to say that I expected them to be childlike basic in their skills. However, I found that many of them would put the younger generation to shame with their general computer efficiency.
