If by "programmed to go automatically" you mean that you've set up a rule, then it will depend on the action you specified in the rule. You can specify to Move or Copy it. If you chose Move it will not appear in your inbox.
Thanks for the advice. Would I be right in assuming therefore that when a rule is set to send an email to a folder without appearing in the inbox then any reply also does not appear in the general sent box?
i think, no. i mean i use outlook express and if i choose to move lets say all emails that has 'viagra' in their subjects to trash, they never appear in the inbox.
Sorry to be nuisance but I am new to this.
So if I set a rule that all emails from Joe Bloggs bypass my inbox and go straight to a password locked personal folder then when I email him or reply to his emails then they appear in my general list of sent items or appear only in the sent items in that personal folder? Thanks for all the help.
